The Community exists because of the Internet.  Without it, most of us would still be AFCs with no clue how to rescue our sad lives.

Australia is imposing a national filter to remove “unwanted content”.

Australian web filter to block 10,000 internet sites

Of course, it starts with the most offensive porn, which even civil libertarians can't object to, but you know the Community and Male Liberation will be deemed offensive by Feminists, and you know they are legally entitled to live in a world where they suffer no offense.

This pull quote is interesting. “While the ACMA blacklist is currently around 1300 URLs, the pilot will test against this list – as well as filtering for a range of URLs to around 10,000 – so that the impacts on network performance of a larger blacklist can be examined.”

That begs the question, after the 1300 sites they now consider objectionable, what about the next 8700?  Who else do they have in mind?  And you know that once it starts with porn, it will soon expand to hate filled political sites. Once they get the basic idea accepted that they can regulate political content, you can kiss freedom of speech goodbye.  Freedom of speech was invented to protect political speech.

I can guarantee you two things. This will spread to other countries, and they will silence the Community eventually.  The Feminists will define places like mASF as anti-woman hate sites, get us on the blacklist, and no one will care. (And Feminist sites that spew hatred of men will still be there, because they are “progressive”) My guess is, we'll get cut off from our Australian brothers sooner than any of us thought possible.

The Internet was the last frontier.  I suspect our Wild West days are about over.

Unquestionably, the community will change… but it's changing now!

I don't think this will be as much of an issue as radical feminism is rapidly

making itself obsolete.

So far, PFP has been very well received by the women we know that

have read it.

A big hurdle for me has been to accept my fascination with social

dynamics as normal, and not worry what everyone else thinks

about it.  Not that I trot it out uninvited, but I don't go out of

my way to hide it either.  It's that fine line between casting pearls

before swine and not keeping your lamp under a basket.

The Wild West days are over in any case.  The frontier has been

conquered, now we're in settlement phase.  Nothing to worry

about, this is the natural progression of things.

On the subject of the Australian Internet Filter, the Federal Government is planning to do some testing at the moment.  The proposed law has not been passed yet as far as I know.

There is two sticking points to this filtering plan, the current technology being used to implement the filter will slow Internet traffic down and what kind of restricted content to put on the black list.

Your question is quite valid as to what the Government will consider to be “restricted”.  I imagine before any content to be put into the restricted category it will need to be reviewed by the Australian Classification Standards board first.

Don't fret, opposition to the filtering plans is growing, a number of experts have spoken out publicly including a few engineers working for some of Australia's biggest ISP's

Besides people will always find a way to bypass the filters.
